Myself and Anna Campbell-Jones have been designing The Nook for SAMH

Its been a dream project to work on such an impactful and needed project as well as having the incredible opportunity to collaborate with the brilliant Anna Campbell Jones

The Nook, to open in September, will offer a drop in mental health support in the city centre of Glasgow.

The design process has involved lifting community voices throughout, ensuring their stamp on the design. Additionally, multi sensory experiences is at the heart of the design with an aim to create a welcoming and calming space. We have also collaborated with many local and sustainable designers along the way.

This project has been a joy to work and pour my passion for participatory design, place based design and designing for mental wellbeing.
